Brand Proposal is 9"16 sized slides designed as a template to submit to potential clients.

Three main colors of grey, olive green and brown are muted and calm to convey high end mood. Round sans serif typeface with the tips cut for titles adds elegant touch as well. The intended user (business) would value their quality, modernity, organic and beauty.

Cover page. The biggest text of "BRAND PROPOSAL" can be replaced with the name of the business. I put "OOO OOO" as the placeholder for the business name.

It is suitable for long introduction with their catchphrase or slogan on the same page; enough length to say their story, introduce their ethics and spirit, thus demonstrate their unique value in persuasive and compelling language.

Because of long introduction, there is a brief About Us section on the left. Important projects can be shown to support what the business values and aims.

Purpose of the project

Working as a graphic designer intern, I figured out how much brand proposal is important to identify the colour of brand and promote value of the company. I got chance to join designing brand proposal during the internship, and I wanted to make everything on my own.

Process

At first step, I researched which contents are included in brand proposal in general. After taking a look from websites like Behance and free template websites, I could outline a table of contents with essential factors.

The initial visual concept I had was modern, urban and minimal. The reasons that I made my decision were because those are hot trends in high needs and the design requires great understanding of graphic design. I thought it will be a great exercise to adapt the sense of design in professional field, and also I wanted to see how I can differentiate the design with versatility and uniqueness. From my research, I noticed a trend of using sans serif for body font and decorative/calligraphic font for catchy title. I dived into test of design to see how can I use that for my work.

The most biggest challenge came after that. I had idea in my head, but it didn't look fancy or it just did not work in layout I need. I have recognized that my main flaw is lack of experience, so I have searched and collected design references I feel attracted or looks useful. But I realized the importance of layout plan while working on this. To overcome this problem, I put more attention to structure and layout to build powerful and aligned design so that all elements can work effectively.

Layout. I started working on Illustrator not InDesign because; 1. Most works I did at that time were on Illustrator, 2. I didn't take the importance of layout very seriously, 3. I supposed to put more decorative shapes.

For more accurate layout and consistency in design, InDesign would be better.
